In 1994, the company, having secured the distributorship for the technology giant Pioneer in Western Europe and Turkey, continued its operations under the name DIGICOM. Formed by combining the words “Digital” and “Communication,” DIGICOM embarked on a journey toward a new horizon with the aim of bringing the technologies of the future to Turkey simultaneously with the rest of the world.

In 1996, DIGICOM also acquired the distributorship for the Roadstar home and car audio and video technology brand for Türkiye and Western Europe.

In 1998, DIGICOM acquired the distributorship of the Hitachi brand for Türkiye.

1999

Frigidaire Distributorship

In 1999, DIGICOM acquired the distributorship of the Frigidaire brand for Türkiye. In addition to the electronics sector, it made its first foray into the finance sector. That same year, Çözüm Finans Faktoring Hizmetleri A.Ş. was established under the DIGICOM umbrella.

A Pioneering Step for Digital Publishing in Türkiye

In 2000, DIGICOM launched the Free TV satellite receiver project in partnership with Doğan Holding. Moving forward with the Sansui brand for this project, DIGICOM sold over one million Free TV satellite receiver systems in less than two years. The Free TV project stands as the initial building block of today’s digital satellite system technology in Türkiye.

Distributorship of LG-branded LCD TVs in Türkiye

In 2002, DIGICOM secured a major new distributorship in the technology sector. Spearheading the rapidly growing LCD TV market in Türkiye, the company undertook the distribution of LG LCD TVs. Throughout this distributorship, which lasted until 2009, DIGICOM raised LG’s market share in Türkiye from zero to 28%. Simultaneously, it established strong brand recognition and positioned LG LCD TV systems at the top tier of the market. Digicom Health was also established that same year to handle the distribution of the Kodak brand in Turkey and to operate within the healthcare sector. Today, Digicom Health continues to provide services in the field of radiology and imaging systems as the distributor for the Villa and Carestream brands.

In 2006, DIGICOM ventured into yet another new sector. It launched brand-new initiatives through Say Yapı Teknoloji, a company established in the fields of construction and real estate development. As its first project, the company realized “Starlife Silivri Villas” in Silivri, a development comprising 90 villas across three different types.

Say Yapı, a company operating under the umbrella of DIGICOM, realized the 74-apartment Starlife Göktürk project in 2009.

2010

Growth with Starlife, Conti, and Ekomis

In 2010, several initiatives were undertaken across various sectors under the DIGICOM umbrella. First, the company Say Yapı launched the “Starlife Güzelce” project—comprising 10 villas in Güzelce—as a continuation of the Starlife projects. That same year, DIGICOM acquired the Conti brand of small electrical home appliances; boasting a history of over 40 years, the Conti brand began to be developed with a brand-new product range under DIGICOM’s management. DIGICOM also ventured into yet another new sector in 2010 with the establishment of Ekomis, a company producing household cleaning and kitchen essentials—such as fully biodegradable garbage bags, freezer bags, aluminum foil, and cling film. Production facilities were established within a 30,000 m² indoor area in the Çerkezköy Organized Industrial Zone.

2012

Joining Forces with “Sharp,” a Global Giant in Large-Screen Technology

The distributorship for Sharp—the global leader in the large-screen TV market—was undertaken in Turkey. A new era in the premium television segment was launched by introducing the “Sharp Quattron LED TV” series, featuring the world’s first and only four-color pixel technology, to the Turkish market.

Production Drive in the Television Sector with Conti

Operating as a trusted and well-established brand in the small home appliances sector under the Digicom Group, Conti entered the television market in 2022 through a visionary investment. Leveraging its strength in consumer electronics and Digicom’s extensive experience in the field, Conti launched the production of smart televisions, thereby elevating its domestic manufacturing capabilities and product range to a whole new level.
